With both teams sitting outside the top four prior to round seven, the Hornets and Thunder will face off in a crucial double-header.

The Queensland Spinning Bullets currently occupy 4th position with a 6-7 record, with the Hornets one game behind and the Thunder sitting two games back.

The two teams met in round one to open the season, as the Hornets prevailed by 17 points. Jorge Salazar was highly influential in that contest posting 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.

Clarence McCarthy-Grogan has been one of the NWBL’s leading scorers this season with 24.5 points per game to lead the Metro Blue Hornets throughout 2019.

The Hornets are coming off a bye last weekend while the Wheelcats fell to the Cobras in both games during round 6.
