ROUND 6 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

One of the stars of the competition and the Australian Rollers for over a decade, Shaun Norris of the Perth Wheelcats has earned the Round 6 Player of the Week award.

Completely dominating their three contests against the Red Dust Heelers, Norris led Perth to three victories with an average of 28.3 points, eight boards, 12.7 assists and 5.3 steals.

He began the weekend with an outrageous stat-line of 38 points, 12 boards and 19 assists on Friday night, contributing 75 out of the Wheelcats’ 101 points off his own hand or via assists.

Shooting an efficient 15-33 from the field, Norris also drained four three-pointers, had three offensive rebounds and four steals but perhaps his most impressive stat was that he combined his 19 assists with just one turnover.

The following day, Perth traversed their closest encounter with Red Dust but prevailed by 12 points thanks to a game-high 26 points and ten assists from Norris.

He helped set up the win in a 20-10 opening quarter with eight points and two dimes, also knocking in two of his three three-pointers for the contest.

Finishing off the weekend, Norris recorded a third straight double-double with 21 points, 16 assists and seven steals.
Once again, he was very efficient at the offensive end with only four turnovers and he shot 50% from the field including another two three-pointers to take his tally from downtown for Round 6 to nine.

His performance has carried Perth to at least a top-three spot after Round 6 and with only three rebounds remaining, they will now be aiming to secure a place in the top two.

Shaun Norris Round 6 Stats: 16.7 points on 23-37 (62%) shooting, 6.7 rebounds (1.3 offensive) and 4.7 assists per game.
